Dub Control
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your purchase and use of Dub Control. Please read them carefully — by downloading, activating, or using the software, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Who we are
Dub Control (the “Software”) is created and published by MIA LABORATORIES OE, a company registered in Greece (Γ.Ε.ΜΗ. 145261908000, EUID ELGEMI.145261908000, VAT 800934056), with its registered office at Galinis 8, Neo Irakleio, 14122, Athens, Greece (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at support@dubcontrol.com.
2. Definitions
- Software — the Dub Control desktop application for macOS and Windows, including updates and accompanying materials.
- Licence — the right to use the Software granted to you under these Terms.
- Licence Key — the unique key issued to you that activates and validates your Licence.
- Trial — a time-limited evaluation version of the Software.
3. Licence grant
On purchase, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual Licence to install and use the Software. Your Licence permits activation on up to three (3) devices that you own or control, for use by a single user. The Trial permits use on one (1) device for seven (7) days.
The Licence is for the version generation you purchased. Maintenance updates are provided at our discretion; major future versions may be offered as separate products or paid upgrades.
4. What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent, sub-licence, or distribute the Software or your Licence Key.
- Use a single Licence across more devices or users than permitted above.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Circumvent, disable, or tamper with the licensing, activation, or validation mechanisms.
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose.
5. Licence keys, activation & validation
Activation and ongoing validation of your Licence are handled through a third-party licensing service. To activate and periodically validate your Licence, the Software may transmit your Licence Key and a device identifier to that service over the internet. The Software supports periods of offline use; see our Privacy Policy for what data is processed and why.
6. Trial
The Trial is provided so you can evaluate the Software before buying. Trial functionality may be limited, and the Trial expires automatically at the end of its period. We encourage you to use the Trial to confirm the Software meets your needs before purchasing.
7. Ownership & intellectual property
The Software is licensed, not sold. All intellectual property rights in the Software remain with us and our licensors. The Software incorporates third-party components, including the BASS audio library by Un4seen Developments, which remain the property of their respective owners and are used under licence. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Software to you.
8. Purchases & payment
Purchases of Dub Control are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record (the authorised reseller and seller of record) for the transaction. When you buy, your payment and any applicable taxes are handled by Paddle, and Paddle’s Buyer Terms apply to the purchase in addition to these Terms. Prices are shown at checkout; the price you see may have tax added or included depending on your location.
9. Updates & changes to the Software
We may release updates, patches, and improvements. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Software. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain core functionality for licensed users, but we do not guarantee that any particular feature will be available indefinitely.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every hardware or operating-system configuration. This section does not affect the statutory rights of consumers in the EU/EEA, which cannot be excluded or limited.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Software. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Licence. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or mandatory consumer-protection rights).
12. Termination
Your Licence terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using and remove all copies of the Software. Sections concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive termination.
13. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy and, because purchases are processed by Paddle, by Paddle’s applicable buyer terms. Please read the Refund Policy before purchasing.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted at dubcontrol.com. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable European Union law. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Athens, Greece, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
